To facilitate the access of targeted communities to health awareness, BCWCD organize numerous local health campaigns and events of different natures, both large and small, to help communities access information on basic health messages. At each event, BCWCD uses creative activities and presentations to generate interest among often non-literate men and women in the audience, for instance using traditional puppetry or theatre performances which both entertain and Educate families on health messages. Youth gatherings, quiz competitions and traditional games are also organized to help direct specific attention of youth as key partners in improving the health of mothers and children. The health campaigns and events covered topics such as environmental health and sanitation, Harmful traditional practices such as female genital mutations, vaccination campaigns, vision screening and eye test, Drug Addiction ,breast cancer and drugs.
